| The studio is located on artspace
grounds, 8 acres of olive groves and woodlands in the foothills of
the Apuan Alps, minutes from the historic center
of Pietrasanta. Bordered
by ancient chestnut trees in a secluded
wooded area, the studio is conveniently located just a short walk
from the local bus stop. Large
and spacious, the ample indoor and outdoor workshops are fully equipped
for all aspects of marble carving, both by hand and with pneumatic
and electric tools. |
| Studio Hours |
The instructor and assistant work with the students 9 am to 12 pm and 1pm to 5 pm weekdays, and from 9 am to 12 pm on Saturday. The studio remains open daily until evening allowing students to continue working independently, including weekends,
Weekends
also offer the opportunity for individual excursions to the nearby marble
quarries of Carrara, or to other cities such as Florence,
Siena, Pisa and Lucca.
